Gore Got More Votes

2000 File Photo. Protesters who claimed that "Gore Got More Votes" during December protests at the Vice-Presidential compound may have been right. According to an article in the Saturday edition of the Palm Beach Post, the Palm Beach butterfly ballot cost Al Gore over 6000 votes - far more than he needed to win the state of Florida and assume the US presidency. But Bush supporters argue that it is impossible to ascertain the intent of voters who marked more than one presidential candidate on a ballot.
