Protestors request removal of Hoover Dam Hydroelectric Power Plant Fears of potential terrorism were reduced with the arrest of Jennifer Cisney a 24 year old woman with an extensive criminal record. She was stopped in a stolen sport utility vehicle and has been arrested for theft of government property from a Federal Highway Administration office that houses sensitive information about Hoover Dam. The largest public works project of its day, the Hoover Dam was widely viewed as a marvel and sign of man's progress. The role of rivers as wildlife habitat was nowhere near as well understood at the time this dam was built. Environmental groups have called for its removal.
