This year it was his daughter's turn, and she delivered - belting out the blues to a crowd of more than 27,000 fans gathered at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park on the 4th of July. Only 21 years old, Shemekia Copeland released her first album, TURN THE HEAT UP, in 1998 and is now promoting her new album, WICKED. The Waterfront Blues Festival continues through Sunday at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park, showcasing over a hundred blues acts. The festival is the primary fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank.
