Coyote Catches Mallard
This coyote successfully caught a mallard in Bosque Del Apache National Wildlfie Refuge near Socorro, New Mexico. Say what you will about them, Coyotes are survivors. Despite the best efforts of humans to trap, shoot, poison and utterly eradicate them, they persist. In fact, they are even spreading back to reclaim their historic territory in the Eastern US where the eradication effort was at least temporarily successful. As varmint hunting and trapping has declined, they are even attempting to recolonize urban areas of both coasts.
