Hawaiian Honeycreepers Evolve By the Beak

One honeycreeper species gradually evolved into 47 species on the Hawaiian Island chain. This small sample of honeycreepers shows the range of evolving beak shapes. Unfortunately, today Hawaii is a hotbed of extinction. Over 25% of US endangered species are found in Hawaii.
