Diving where the waves crash into the rocks of the Pacific shoreline, Harequin Ducks have access to a remarkably rich foodsource of intertidal animals. But the ducks must accurately time the crashing waves to avoid serious injury. Harlequin Ducks migrate inland to nest in hollow trees and raise their young on fast flowing mountain streams.
