from Brugmansia sanguinea stealing nectar Black-tailed Trainbearer stealing nectar from Brugmansia sanguinea flower, Pasochoa Preserve Ecuador. The Brugmansia flower is normally pollinated by the amazing Sword-billed Hummingbird with a bill as long as it's head and body. In this case the flower is being robbed of nectar by this short-billed trainbearer that is not paying for the nectar by pollinating the flower. Black-tailed Trainbearers are common hummingbirds in the mid altitude valleys in the Andes Mountains. They are quite easy to see in Quito's parks.
